Di Spigna. Initially released in 1972 in Regular and Bold
weights. Four more weights (Light, Extra Bold, Heavy, Black)
followed in 1974 [U&lc].
The original version came with eleven
alternates for ‘aefkrstzEL8’.
VGC offered additional alternates, incl. forms w/ both pointed
and blunt apexes in the bolder weights, and a circular ‘0’
[VGC 1973]. Berthold had similar alts w/
blunt apexes for the Bold and Heavy [Berthold 1982]. Four weights were adopted
by Letraset; first Regular, Bold, Heavy (w/ alts) [Letraset 1976] and later also Black.
