New Zelek

Designed by Bronisław Zelek and awarded by Mecanorma as best exclusive typeface design of 1974. [Ariadne]

ParaType’s digital version “was developed at TypeMarket in 1993 by Alexey Kustov on the base of artworks of Viktor Kharyk and Lidia Kolesnichenko (1979), that were developed as a Cyrillic adaptation of [New Zelek]”.

New Zelek Pro (Threedotstype, 2013) is a digital adaptation and expansion made by Marian Misiak in consultation with Bronisław Zelek. It includes Latin and Cyrillic characters. An Arabic version has been announced, but isn’t available as of 2023.
