Not to be confused with ATF’s Rockwell Antique,
which is a reworking of Inland’s Litho Antique (1910).
Issued by English Monotype between 1933 and 1960 in a total of
twelve styles, including Rockwell Shadow. Some styles were also sold
by Enschedé as Cheops, by Gujarati as Romesh (with the Bold
Condensed named Rajesh), and by Unitype as Louqsor [Reichardt 2011].
Bitstream’s digitization is named Geometric Slabserif 712. URW used to offer a
version named Roctus T (1983–1991; later named Slab
Serif No2) which seems to be based
on a larger size and is distinguished from Monotype’s digitization by slightly concave serifs.
