ITC Serif Gothic Heavy with two of its round, uncial-like E’s, one of them mirrored to illustrate the concept of reciprocal feedback. The typeface’s other E can be seen in “THE”. Smaller text is in the Bold or Extra Bold weight, featuring the forms with pointed apexes for A M N W w. The original phototype release offered two forms for these characters for the Extra Bold and Heavy weights. ITC’s digital version offers no alternates at all. The three boldest weights have the glyphs with blunt apexes only. It’s also missing the spurless r.

Barbara B. Brown (1921–1999) was a research psychologist who popularized biofeedback and neurofeedback in the 1970s. She was co-founder and the first president of the Biofeedback Research Society, which evolved into the Biofeedback Society of America and then into AAPB.
