Aachen

Aachen Bold was designed in 1969 by Colin Brignall for Letraset. In 1977, Alan Meeks added a Medium weight. [Daines 2016]

Digitizations by ITC, Bitstream (as Aachen BT a.k.a. Clarendon 871, by 1993), Scangraphic, and Elsner+Flake. Extended by Jim Wasco as Neue Aachen (ITC, 2012).

Cyrilic adaptations include Luxor (Alexey Kustov, TypeMarket, 1993) and Adamant (Double Alex Font Studio, Alexei Chekulayev, 1993).
