A nineteenth-century business card for Daniel Mohn (1838–1901), who was a shoemaker in Millersville, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. Notice the illustration featuring an assortment of boots and shoes. For a similar card, see N. T. Geho’s Fancy Boot and Shoe Store, Reading, Pa. It also includes an illustration with an array of boots and shoes. Daniel Mohn, Manufacturer of boots & shoes, Millersville, Pa. Repairing promptly attended to. The two biggest lines are set in caps from Glyptic (1878) and Latin Antique. The other typefaces include a wide roman, a low-contrast Ionic (cf. the 1884 Palmer & Rey specimen), and an extra condensed Modern, possibly Extra Condensed No. 3.
