The theme of the Romanian Design Week 2020 was “Change”. My poster design shows the letter C against a grid. The top half of the letter is from Robert Slimbach’s Adobe Garamond (1989), a revival of old-style serif typefaces from the 16th century. This is contrasted with an extrabold weight from a modern sans serif, Julieta Ulanovsky’s Montserrat (2011), which is used for the bottom half. The word “Change” in the top left corner is set in New Alphabet, a futuristic face designed by Wim Crouwel in 1967.
