New Alphabet

Designed by Wim Crouwel and introduced in 1967 in the Kwadraat-Blad periodical by Steendrukkerij De Jong & Co. [NAGO] Produced as dry-transfer sheets by Mecanorma, with IBM credit. [Sherman] A phototype version was issued by Photoscript in 1970. [Ariane] Shown as Crouwel, in three weights. [Photoscript 1970]

Made available as digital font by The Foundry in 1997.
