Since 1295 the creations by Barovier & Toso have been synonymous with distinctiveness and perfection. A legendary tradition for luxurious timeless lighting solutions.
The challenge was to create a contemporary and fascinating site experience, keeping the brand’s strong identity intact and sharing all its key elements; water through effects, fire through the mouse pointer and the transformations of matter through interactions.
All elements of the site change from one state to another when users interact with them, this was intended to convey the concept of magic and transformation. The mouse pointer becomes a circle, and the circle changes again if users leave it in the same position. All transitions are inspired by the concept of water and fire, the former being the evocative element of Venice and the latter an indispensable element for shaping and blowing glass.
The chosen fonts meet the same needs of tradition and innovation: a serif font, PT Serif, for tradition, and a sans serif font made especially for the web, Roboto, for innovation.
