Friedrich W. Kleukens

Book artist and typeface designer, 1878–1956. Ran the Steglitzer Werkstatt (1900–1903) with Fritz Helmuth Ehmcke and Georg Belwe. Member of the Darmstadt Artists’ Colony where he founded the Ernst-Ludwig-Presse (1907–1937; together with his younger brother Christian Heinrich Kleukens) and the Ratio-Presse (1919–1931).
