In the 1960s, IBM’s Selectric and Selectric Composer typewriters offered interchangeable fonts via a spherical “element” (a.k.a “golf ball”) [ad, IBM100]. IBM produced and commissioned custom typefaces for these elements, often adapting existing printer’s typefaces. This page shows Uses created with the Selectric typewriter. For all Uses of all IBM fonts, and other IBM references, see IBM’s foundry page.
