Letter Gothic

A monospaced family designed 1956–62 by Roger Roberson for IBM’s Selectric electric typewriters. Letter Gothic 12 Pitch (used for sample) is heavier and spaced tighter.

A digital version was released in 1989. Proportional interpretations include ParaType’s New Letter Gothic and FontFont’s FF Letter Gothic Text.
