This is from a series of motion rides typically located in a arcade called Typhoon.
This ride is set in a pinball game, where the riders are set to be a metal ball, bouncing around and trying to launch a rocket to win the game.

  1. Hi Ethan,

Do you happen to know from when the shown design dates? Pinside and the International Arcade Museum list a pinball game named Astro that was manufactured by D. Gottlieb & Co. in 1971. That one has a different design, though.

The font used for the game shown in your images is Space Patrol NF. It was designed by Nick Curtis in 2001, inspired by the logotype for the 50s TV show Space Patrol.

  2. That’s a great question! I really don’t know the exact date this was made, but if I had to guess, it is in between the release of Mad Wave Motion Theater and the release of Typhoon.

  3. I see, thanks! So that puts it to sometime after 2005, if I’m not mistaken.
