The book Etherisch Strijkersensemble Parisiana documents the 1970s musical happening ensemble Parisiana. Led by theatre director Eric De Volder, it comprised many artists from the Ghent scene, such as photographer Michiel Hendryckx, artist Johan Dehollander, director Dirk Pauwels, William Phlips, Arne Sierens, and many others. Their absurdist humour and anarchist spirit proved influential.
The front cover of Etherisch Strijkersensemble Parisiana features Nexa Black (by Svetoslav Simov) and Questa Italic (by Martin Majoor and Jos Buivenga).
The book was published by Belgian academic publisher LannooCampus in 2014. Photography by Michiel Hendryckx. The cover was designed by Kurt Cornelis (Sfumato), and the interior by Letterwerk.
