Based on poster wood type that originated with Emil Ruder and his students at Allgemeine Gewerbeschule Basel (AGS) in the 1950s, and was distributed by Neue Didot as Plakatschrift Didot.

Designed by Hans-Christian Pulver, Arve Båtevik and Anatole Couteau, 2018–2022. Released by Lineto in three versions: Ruder Plakat Regular (used for sample), Ruder Plakat Maxi (compressed) and Ruder Plakat VIP, a variable font with an additional x-height axis. LL Ruder Plakat Kontur, an outline font with variable line thickness, followed in October 2024.
