Scholz

Vienna-based foundry established by J. Pollak and E. Rudhard in 1872, under the name Rudhard & Pollak. In 1897, the foundry was transferred to Eduard Scholz, who continued to run it under his own name. Scholz died in 1919 and his widow continued to run the business with the support of her sons-in-law. On March 1, 1927, the foundry was taken over by Berthold & Stempel GmbH and ceased operations. [Bauer/Reichardt]
