Rūlo is a sushi hand roll spot in Paris, France, located on rue Saint-Maur. The brand identity was designed by Quentin Weisbuch (Studio Furious). We’ve used Obviously by OH no Type Co. in wide and compressed versions. The typeface with its sharp angles contrasts with the round shapes that are used all around the shop: the spinning menu and shop sign, the stools and even the wallpaper with its wavy effect that refers to the sushi roll. For the Japanese text, we worked with a bold weight from Hiragino Kaku Gothic.
