Granby

Designed in-house at Stephenson Blake to compete with Futura and Gill Sans. Issued in 1930. [Millington 2002] “Granby was Stephenson Blake’s ‘copy’ of Johnston (and I suspect their answer to Gill Sans).” [Ashworth] See also Granby Inlined and the ultrabold Granby Elephant.

Elsner+Flake and Scangraphic have a digital version in five (upright) weights. It includes the Elephant as Hippo.
