Maloca Records is a Brussels-based music label, created by producer Le Motel – who is also in charge of the graphic design and overall communication. The album covers almost always follow the same guidelines: a full-page artwork, often black-and-white, partially covered with a type-only paper flap, most likely a nod to Japanese obi strips.

For Artefacts by Hihats In Trees (pseudonym for Belgian drummer and producer Lander Gyselinck), we are shown what looks like a greyscale mountain landscape, paired with a bright yellow paper flap, featuring Plain Form’s twisted Ready Active, together with Obviously and Helvetica, two recurring faces in the record label’s identity. The Maloca logotype uses Eckmannpsych with what appears to be a custom M and an enlarged lowercase C.

The back side shows an outlined Ready in a generous size, playing nicely with the rocky background.
