From UMG Nashville:
Multi-platinum global superstar Carrie Underwood will release Cry Pretty, her first studio album on Capitol Records Nashville on September 14. The title track and lead single was released worldwide on April 11 …
The covers of both the single and the upcoming album use Timberline (2017) for the title. The texture script typeface by Resistenza (Giuseppe Salerno and Paco González) is used with the built-in contextual alternates, see the r’s and t’s. An even more convincingly handwritten look could have been achieved by using one of the stylistic alternates for the second y. The artist’s name seems to be in slanted and customized Baskerville Old Face, with contextually extended strokes and an overlapping OO ligature. Both settings are embellished with a glitter effect. The same typography appears in ads and on tour posters.
