The Admissions website by the University of Kansas exclusively uses typefaces designed by Joshua Darden.
This website which provides information specifically for future students features typographic choices that are different from the University’s general site. Since a redesign in 2020, it’s composed of various styles from both the Halyard and the Freight families.
Darden Studio’s sans serif serves in all of its three subfamilies; Halyard Display, Text, and Micro. While Halyard’s optical sizes are distinguished primarily by proportion, aperture, and spacing, Freight’s exhibit a stronger contrast between thick and thin lines in larger sizes. Freight Display appears in its Light weight for intro texts, as well as in the Bold Italic for highlighting relevant numbers.
