From Territorial Airwaves:
In the summer of 1965, Marlene Sai and The Invitations came together on Makaha Records.
Marlene Sai – just a few years earlier, as a teenage sensation with the remarkable voice, she had captured the collective hearts of the [Hawaiian] islands. Now she had come of age just in time to team up with Hawaii’s premiere smooth jazz and harmony group that had been evolving since 1958. Two long playing 33 1/3 RPM record albums, “Kiss Me Love” by Buddy Fo & the Invitations, and “Sweet Someone” by Marlene Sai with Buddy Fo & the Invitations, were released almost simultaneously in the summer of 1965.
The cover designers, Studio Five, are credited for the album art of hundreds of other records.
