These pictures were shot during two different trips to Tokyo in 2018. They are snapshots, swift glimpses of people and things, captured while morning strolls to the confine, long days all over Tokyo and late night walks from ramen-ya’s, arcades and subway stations.

Tokyo auf 24×36 is a project by photographer Julien Clair. The book (designed by Thomas Martin) is read from right to left, like in Japan. Binding, typeface and choice of colour emphasize this aesthetic.
