Batman costume for Cape ’n’ Cowl, Warner Bros. Italy

For the Cape ’n’ Cowl exhibition at the Lucca Comics & Games festival, we were asked by Warner Bros. Italy to create a custom version of the Dark Knight’s iconic costume. With the help of Gianluca Stazi, master craftsman and costume designer, we created a gold-leafed leather decoration to spell out Batman’s epic theme song.
Adlibitum, the typeface chosen for this installation, is a contemporary restyling of medieval textura script characters, designed by Francesco Canovaro of Zetafonts Foundry.
