Bantam’s paperback edition of Jerry Bledsoe’s book about early stock car racing from 1976 uses Interline for the long title. The italic caps with horizontal stripes go back to the age of horse carriages – Interline was patented in 1876. They nevertheless can convey a sense of speed.
