The books Os Condenados da Terra (“The Wretched of the Earth”, 1961) and Por Uma Revolução Africana (“Toward the African Revolution”, 1964) by Frantz Fanon – one of the most important thinkers of the anti-racist and anti-colonial struggle – were recently re-released in Brazil by publishing house Zahar.
The careful editions bring critical essays, including a preface by Jean-Paul Sartre to the original 1961 edition of Os Condenados da Terra.
Book covers by the artist and designer Oga Mendonça, who chose Pieches by PintassilgoPrints for both the author’s name and the book titles, making use of the typeface’s stylistic alternates.
