Ganja & Hess (1973) is an experimental horror movie written and directed by Bill Gunn starring Marlene Clark and Duane Jones.

The logo is made with ITC Avant Garde Gothic, using two of its iconic ligatures (GA, SS) and the alternate left-leaning A. While the phototype version of Avant Garde did include some biform alternates for A E I M N R, the narrow N and the J used here appear to be custom additions. So is the angled e with horizontal terminal.

The movie poster shows a bolder logo variant with some differences in the detail. Supporting text is set in , too.
