Originally designed by Wayne Stettler in 1966 and published as a Typositor typeface. [Canada Type] Among the 15 award winning type face designs in a competition sponsored by Visual Graphics Corporation in 1966. A variant with triple open East shadow is shown by Photo-Lettering as Niel Plywood [sic]. [PLINC One Liner 1971] Neil Bold was adopted by Letraset before 1976. Castcraft’s alias was Natty Bold / Natty Ultra Bold [Castcraft 1978].
