Hellavision Television Animation Show is a series of episodic experimental animation screenings and zines. Screenings are held quarterly, free to the public. Anyone and everyone is welcome to participate. Artists are encouraged to create work as quick as possible and without self-judgement. The show ran from June 2017 to June 2018.

All of Hellavision’s promotional images, posters, title sequences etcetera are designed by (co-)founder Peter Steineck. For the final show, he mixed styles of Elastik by Benoît Bodhuin – a grotesk that comes in four pre-stretched styles. Its tittles, punctuation and some other glyphs like the ampersand change from extremely wide to extra condensed in its four styles, while the upper- and lowercase glyphs change width in a more relaxed pace.

In Steinbeck’s hands, Elastik proves itself as a natural companion for music and movement in the end titles (watch the video below).
