The cover for the Jan 22, 1998 edition of Rolling Stone magazine features Mantinia by Matthew Carter. It is paired with what looks like another 1990s release from Font Bureau, FB Nobel. The cover photograph of Fiona Apple was shot by Mark Seliger.
Matthew Carter mentioned this cover in his talk “On Untypical Typefaces” at Design Indaba in 2013.
