Laurenz Brunner’s LL Circular plays a supporting role in the bold branding of a tattoo artist’s studio.

Geary Morrill is world-renowned tattoo artist hailing from Richmond, VA. His explosive pop art style is defined by clean lines and bright colors. In 2016, Geary’s art had become so iconic that he was asked to be on Spike TV’s Season 8 of Ink Masters. Following his rise to popularity, Geary has now opened his tattoo collective, FutureLazerTiger, in Metro Detroit. The studio focuses on bringing like-minded artists together in a freethinking space.

When Geary approached Traction about a new identity, he told us he wanted it to be “Unapologetically weird and loud!” He already had the name picked out: FutureLazerTiger, his alias as a graffiti artist. Then, through a collaborative process, Traction worked with Geary to establish words he would use as his brand essence: authentic, bold, and futuristic.

Using the strategic approach outlined above, Traction created the FutureLazerTiger identity. Highly inspired by Geary’s style, Traction created a logo that serves as a visual metaphor for the tattoo studio.
