A remix and elaboration of lettering alphabets created by the industrial designer Nora Gulbrandsen (1894–1978), head designer for Porsgrunds Porselænsfabrik. “In addition to the thousands of cups, plates and vases, she redesigned the logo, made a brand design typeface, designed catalogs and advertisements. Her typeface was geometrically constructed by modules, emphasised by them being split and spread apart, thus creating an abstract image of plates and other porcelain items. Store Norske Nora is a variable font where these loose letter components can slide horizontally from spread out to contracted, with some nearly ‘normal’ versions in between.” [Båtevik] No uppercase.
