Open Sky Museum is an artistic proposal to “face up to the works” in an open air museum, out of the city. The works are given up to the spectators’ gaze, without mediation, conservation or caretaking, at the mercy of time and weather. Based on an idea by Eden Morfaux, guest artist of the research group + de Realite, of the Nantes art school. With the works of 27 artists: Erwan Ballan, Charlie Boisson, Etienne Bossut, Noemie Chauvet, Jean-Gabriel Coignet, Baptiste Debombourg, Anne Deleporte, Bertrand Derel, Isabelle Ferreira, Susanna Fritscher, Jeanne Gailhoustet, Franck Gerard, Claire-Jeanne Jezequel, Pierre Mabille, Anita Molinero, Olivier Nerry, François Perrodin, Duncan Pickstock, Denis Pondruel, Bruno Rousselot, Sarkis, Vivianne Van Singer, Vladimir Skoda, Emma Turpin, Arnaud Vasseux, Véronique Verstraete, Kees Visser.This catalog recount, backwards, the museum’s history, from its conception until its destruction by a storm in December 2013.
