Book series designed by Dutch graphic designer Karel Martens (b. 1939) in the 1960s. Von Loghum Slaterus was a publisher of social science texts and Martens’ first major client. The covers show variations of layered grid patterns, printed in two colors and utilizing the overprint effect. All type is set in Monotype Baskerville Italic.
