In 2014, the Mademoiselle Major gallery in Lyon gave carte blanche to Jérémie Nuel and Simon Renaud. The duo – known as the “A is a Name” collective – produced a series of works dealing with digital utopias, encoding and decoding, and related topics. The shown objects included a flag, booklets, posters, and cassettes.
The font in use is Renaud’s Lo-fi, back then a private design that was still work in progress. Four years later, a revised and greatly extended version was released in Production Type’s LAB section, now named Tuner.
