Langenscheidt is a publisher of translation dictionaries and books for language learning. Established in 1856, it has a long history, and KW43 was charged with updating the brand while maintaining its core signatures, such as the blue ‘L’ on a yellow background. The typefaces used for collateral and the books themselves are Trade Gothic Next and a customized Charter to match the sans’ x-height.

The simple posters used to introduce the new identity won a TDC Award for Communication Design in 2015.
