Fonts from the Flea Market 893
Sleeve for the French release of “New York City”, a single by Tabou Combo, on Carbaza. The Haitian compas (or konpa) band was founded by Albert Jr. Chancy and Herman Nau in 1968 in Pétion-Ville. Tabou Combo is still active today.
The fonts are Umbra 27, a Barnum slab serif by Karl-Heinz Domning, and Fat Albert, a squarish sans with rounded corners designed by Ray Cruz.
