Gimlet Media is a podcast network founded in 2014 by Alex Blumberg and Matt Lieber. The identity and website was designed with New York studio, Athletics, who also designed the look for StartUp, the podcast series that tells the story of launching Gimlet. Gimlet and StartUp use LL Circular almost exclusively in all materials.
The beard of Circular’s ‘G’ was shaved for the copyright-symbol-inspired logo. Either that, or they added a bar to the ‘C’. The logo feels slightly oblong (condensed) while Circular’s rounds are visually circular.
