Netflix have made prominent use of Action Hero in the posters for their upcoming slasher film Fear Street: Prom Queen. The font by Wing’s Art Studio is used for “Prom Queen”, with several of its alternates and in slightly modified form, to effectively capture the vintage paperback stylings of R.L. Stine’s original books.
“Fear Street” is directly sourced from the lettering for the book series. The tagline “Drop dead, gorgeous” is added in caps from horror classic ITC Serif Gothic. One poster features Another Danger by The Branded Quotes, with ITC Elan for “Winning just might be the death of you”. On all posters, credits and launch date are set in Univers Ultra Condensed and Netflix Sans, respectively.
