Under the theme of “Core Memories”, the visual exhibition was organized with the desire to find different perspectives on Vietnamese culture and indigenous life through artistic creation.
Ngóc Ngách brings together more than 30 creators in the Vietnamese creative community with more than 60 static and dynamic artworks to converge into an artistic space that blends diverse cultural perspectives. The works revolve around emotional memories, establishing the personal identity of the creators. Through the works, the relationship between life, culture, and art interwoven between the three regions of the country will be recreated in the same space.
The exhibition is integrated with AR technology, carefully considered to make the presentation concise but still ensure a journey of enjoying the artworks that is full of novelty for visitors. Currently, the exhibition has been held in many locations across Vietnam and will continue to move to many places in the future.
The Ngóc Ngách typeface is designed based on the spirit of honoring Vietnamese. The font is most beautifully used in words with typical diacritics in the Vietnamese language. At the same time, based on the spirit of the exhibition, it evokes the nooks and crannies in Vietnamese culture and life, and is created with a concrete appearance. It is cut by thin lines reminiscent of the small alleys typcial for the old quarters across the country, and rivers flowing through the lands.
The complementary sans is HAI Mercredi by Đinh Hải.
The event’s visual identity was designed by Minh Thống and Nu Nguyễn at Xôn Xao Studio, with graphic design additionally by Trần Khánh and Thanh Vân Trần. For a full list of credits, see the Behance page.
