Halyard Display is the typeface chosen for AIC Hotel Group’s online presence. The Miami-based company specializes in luxury hotel properties in Florida, Mexico, and the Dominican Republic.
The design is centered around wanderlust-inducing photography, often shown in containers with rounded corners that are reminiscent of airplane windows. All typography makes use of Halyard Display. AIC taps into the splendor of its uppercase, with its interplay of round and square: slogans, headlines, and menu items are shown large in all-caps Halyard.
The grotesque sans by Darden Studio serves in two of its eight weights, Regular and Book. The latter is a tad lighter and comes in handy in situations where one wants to reduce the optical density – without introducing a visible contrast.
