Omen is a rules-light tabletop role-playing game, self-published in zine and pdf formats by Spencer Campbell of GilaRPGs. The magazine is set exclusively in typefaces by OH no Type: The cover and titles are set in Forevs, while the body text mostly uses Swear Text. Subtitles, tables and other details are set in Polymath.
Forevs was chosen for the cover for its curved E and flared M and N, reminiscent of hourglasses, connecting the game’s theme of fleeting time. The rest were selected from OH no Type’s collection to fit the body and tables.
Other graphical elements were inspired by VHS tape sleeves, as well as eclipses and rainbows, popular bad and good omens respectively.
