Pastiche Grotesque by Order Type Foundry is used as the primary typeface for the brand and packaging of Desbrava Beer, designed by Céu Design.
From Céu Design’s project page (translated):
Debrava is a gluten-free craft beer brand that is surprisingly tasty. So much so that it’s not exclusively for intolerants of certain cereal, but for anyone who appreciates a good beer. From naming to identity, Desbrava renews traditions, breaks stereotypes and offers a light and democratic experience without losing sophistication.
Our mission was to position the brand in two markets: gluten-free and craft beers. On the one hand, a public concerned about health with little options. On the other hand, brewers demanding taste and attached to traditions. With the tagline “What if it’s better?” and the name “Desbrava”, we created a light, encouraging identity with a hint of good humor.
Inspired by the idea of breaking through, the logo and visual identity are symbolized by a flag fixed in new territories. Using triangular geometric shapes, we create graphics that print labels and permeate all visual language.
Debrava is a beer that comes to make a lot of people change their mind. Always lightly, of course, as gluten-free should be. What if it’s better?
