The Slim Cessna’s Auto Club show in Zagreb took place at club Močvara, and the organizers wrote this about the event:
The band has recognized the unique receptiveness of Eastern Europe to the dark gothic spirit of the American South, blending Bible passages with smuggled moonshine in their music. On stage, Slim and Munly perform like preachers whose fiery gospel, accompanied by banjo sounds, seems to exorcise demons from the audience. Their performances fuse carnival aesthetics with the intensity of a tabernacle, offering a mix of folk, gospel, country, and rock and roll, wrapped in songs about Saturday night sins, Sunday morning redemption, and tales of “vaccines, border crossings, the cross-eyed, transvestites, teeth, and dogs.”
The poster promoting the show combines high-contrast serif typography, all set in Rector, with a detailed snake illustration as its central element. The monochromatic palette and textured details create a dark, gritty aesthetic, aligning with the rock concert’s mood. The snake’s coiled form and a cross-like symbol introduce a folkloric or gothic undertone, overall conveying an atmospheric, raw energy of the band.
