I created this video for the Italian band Hand of Juno, drawing inspiration from the haunting narrative woven throughout their lyrics. The story unfolds as a character becomes ensnared in a forest, poisoned by hallucinogenic pollen, while a relentless monster hunts them through the shadows. This chilling premise sets the tone for a visually rich experience, echoing the song’s dark themes.
Beyond the music itself, Hand of Juno is known for their industrial metal sound, which often evokes gothic and gloomy atmospheres. Their work blends powerful instrumentals with evocative lyrics, immersing listeners in a world that is both captivating and unsettling. In crafting the visuals for “Polline,” I aimed to reflect these dualities, marrying the eerie beauty of the forest with the tension of the hunt, creating a compelling visual narrative that resonates with the band’s unique style.
