Publishing houses De Gruyter and Brill joined forces at the beginning of the year. De Gruyter Brill unveiled its new brand identity at the 2024 Frankfurt Book Fair. The logo features a stylised monogram made up of three single quotation marks, giving the figurative mark a high recognition value. These quotation marks, which metaphorically represent dialogue and are reminiscent of quotations in academic works, form the basis of a flexible design system for online and offline media.
