The IRON CASTING exhibition at the Inkubator Gallery in Pilsen features the works of students and teachers from the Ladislav Sutnar Faculty of Design and Art, created during the Iron Casting symposium and the Experiment with Cast Iron workshop. It is organized by the Academy of Arts in Banská Bystrica, which has been hosting the symposium since 2015.

The exhibition focuses on exploring creative approaches and techniques in working with cast iron. The symposium offers participants the opportunity to experiment with various types of models made from wax, polystyrene, plasticine, or plaster, as well as the chance to process different found objects or create using 3D printing from PLA plastics.

The 2024 promotional campaign for this exhibition was designed by Dayana Grigoryan. She incorporated the Maria Connected typeface by Threedotstype throughout the exhibition branding, blending it with her iron-cast-inspired designs. Suitably, the letter shapes in Maria Connected are defined by FIDU technology, an air-forming method for metal objects patented by designer Oskar Zięta. This thoughtful integration reinforces the exhibition’s theme by merging typography with the techniques used in this branding.
