This record is a rare compilation of material by the British psychedelic rock band Soft Machine, released only in the Netherlands in 1969 or 1970. The reason I put this here is that the cover and the back feature a very early use of Dreamline by Mecanorma.

  1. released only in the Netherlands in 1968.

    Hello Humberto,

I saw that Discogs dates this album to 1968. But that can’t be right: this Dutch pressing is not a plain version of Soft Machine’s self-titled debut album from 1968. It rather compiles side A from that first album and side A from the band’s second album, Volume Two – which, according to Wikipedia, was recorded February–March 1969, and released in September 1969. As such, the version shown here must be from fall 1969 or later.

It’s still a pretty early use of Dreamline, just not from 1968. I don’t know for sure when Dreamline was issued. The earliest showing known to me is in a Mecanorma ad in Graphis Vol. 25 No. 141 from September 1969:
