Entre río y raíles (“Between River and Rails”) is a thought-provoking exhibition meticulously crafted for CentroCentro and curated by Graziella Trovato. It serves as an invitation to contemplate the profound effects of industrialization and its subsequent decline in Madrid, particularly along the Green Railway Corridor, nestled within the former river terraces of the Manzanares.
This immersive exhibition comprises over 1000 captivating images, intricate plastic works sourced from archives, compelling documentary collections, evocative audiovisual materials, and urban photographs. Together, these elements guide visitors on a journey, tracing the trajectory from the era of industrialization to the present-day post-industrial landscape. Moreover, the exhibition offers a compelling narrative of the area’s ongoing reevaluation, marked by efforts towards natural reforestation and thoughtful urban revision.
