Since establishing their initial brand in 2016, not only had Mux's product changed, but also the market had changed around them. Mux now is about “video infrastructure that makes it easy for development teams to build video into their products”. To bring their brand up to date, Mux found the right partners in For The People.

To express Mux’s new brand idea, “Built to Play”, For The People and Mux selected Rotonto, Aeonik, and JetBrains Mono.

As For The People put it, “Rotonto is a variable typeface that underlies the contrast between rigid, square-shaped counters of the letters and the round-shaped outline. The proportion and the general construction follow the peculiarities of a grotesque typeface that it gives the opportunity to be used in different contexts.”

And Aeonik and JetBrains Mono provide the perfect complements to Rotonto, with both the structure you need to feel safe and supported, and a wink to you saying that they care about form just as much as functionality.
